Aizawl, Nov 7: Persistent demand by the local Mizo population for the ouster of the beleaguered CEO S B Shashank seemed to be taking curious turn every day with the 'angry' crowd not allowing the Chief Minister and state Congress chief Lal Thanhawla "to file his nomination papers" in his traditional stronghold Serchip assembly constituency.
According to sources, the incident happened on Tuesday when Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla had gone to Serchip to file his nomination papers.
A massive crowd gathered at the venue and demanded that first the CEO Mr Shashank be forced out of office and the state and only then the Chief Minister should file his nomination.
"It was people's demand and the Chief Minister respected that. There was no heckling or coercing the Chief Minister. (UNI)
