Imphal, May 24 : Three new active cases of COVID 19 have been reported in Manipur thus increasing the total number to 32. Four were earlier declared negative hence there are 28 active cases now. Dr. Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, Additional Director & Spokesperson Health Department said a 32 year old man from Jiribam District and a 25 year year old woman from Thoubal were tested positive at RIMS. A new active case (18 yr old boy) was also confirmed last night at the VRDL, JNIMS. He is from Churachandpur District and a a returnee from Chennai. All the 28 active cases are being monitored regularly.

According to Dr L Tomcha Khuman, State Surveillance Officer, about 1820 persons were at government quarantine while 7582 persons were also community quarantine. About 3074 people have left government quarantine and 65 persons left community quarantine after completion of their mandatory 14 day stay. (UNI)
