Imphal, April 14 : Chief Minister, N Biren Singh in a message in a social network platform thanked the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for extending the nationwide lockdown till May 3 next.
Biren said he will follow the will, vision and advice in the fight against the dreaded COVID-19 outbreak. He reminded people to follow to advice given by the Prime Minister. He said all should take care of the elders, stay at home, stay safe, use homemade masks, follow precautions from @moayush + use #AarogyaSetu app. He also urged all to extend help to the poor and not to lay-off employees.
He further said people should respect doctors and medical workers. Chief Minister also convened a meeting with Chief Secretary, DGP, all Administrative Secretaries, DCs, HODs and concerned officials of the state government on the prevailing situation in the state due the nationwide lockdown, particularly the distribution of rice to the public . He said the public will be provided rice irrespective of their possession of NFSA card during the extended lockdown. (UNI)
