Aurangabad, Jun 7 : Maharashtra's Marathwada region that comprises eight districts have recorded 2,944 COVID-19 positive cases and 119 fatalities till past 24 hrs, district authorities said on Sunday. So far 1,824 people have been cured with 1,001 patients undergoing treatment, they added.
Aurangabad -- a divisional headquarter is one of the worst affected districts in the region with 2,014 confirmed cases and 99 deaths recorded till Sunday morning. The district recorded 96 fresh cases on Saturday, including 19 inmates of Harsul jail, that pushed its tally to 1,942, officials said, adding that four more deaths were reported between Friday and Saturday. The data also shows the overall mortality is 4.04 per cent. (UNI)
