Jalna, Jun 4 : A 60-year-old woman succumbed to the COVID-19 on Thursday while undergoing treatment at the Jalna government hospital, informed official sources. On June 2, the deceased was brought to the hospital, they said adding that she had prior complications of diabetes and blood pressure.
She is the second senior citizen to succumb to the contagion, earlier the pandemic claimed the life of an 80-year-old man. Now, Jalna district's fatality count now stands at three. The sources further said that six more people were tested positive for the infection taking the number of infected to 159.
Meanwhile, a report from Parbhani district stated that two more confirmed cases were found in the containment zones. Presently, Parbhani has 88 cases, out of which, two have died while 25 others have been cured, the sources added. (UNI)
