Aurangabad (Maharashtra), Jun 4 : Cyclone Nisarga, which made its landfall on Wednesday, has left behind a trail of destruction here as well as in Jalna district, reports said on Thursday.
Owing to the storm, heavy rains accompanied with gusty winds lashed this district, resulting in snapping of power lines, uprooting of trees, blowing away o tin roofs and deaths of domestic animals.
According to sources, the district received an average 19.39 mm rainfall in the preceding day whereas Jalna was soaked in 11.09 mm rainfall. The state-run MSEDCL has been successful in restoring the power supply while repair work is still underway in some areas. (UNI)
