COVID-19: 42 test positive in Aurangabad, tally soars to 1,540

Aurangabad,Maharashtra,May 31 : The number of corona patients in Aurangabad district rose to 1540 as 42 more were tested positive on Sunday morning. According to the District Administration, the fresh patients include 24 females and 18 males.

They said that a 52-year-old female from Nizamganj Colony in Aurangabad city died on Saturday night while undergoing treatment at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH ). They further said that four new patients were registered in Bhavani Nagar and Old Mondha followed by three each in Kailas Nagar, Street No.2, N Saha, CIDCO and Kiradpura, two each in Old Bazaar, Manjit Nagar, All India Radio Complex and others and one each in Jafar Gate, Old Mondha, Street No.17, Sanjay Nagar, Mukundwadi, Street No. Char Rahim Nagar, Jaswantpura, Venkatesh Nagar, Jalna Road, Samata Nagar, Navin Baijipura, Ahimsa Nagar, All India Radio Complex, Pisadevi Road, Bajaj Nagar, Deolai Premises, Nath Nagar, Balaji Nagar, Hamalwadi, Bhoiwada, Surana Nagar, Azam Colony, Sadat Nagar, Mahmudpura, Hudco, Nizamganj Colony, Shahganj , street no. 24 Sanjay Nagar, Beed Bypass Road, Swapn Nagri respectively.

The District administration added that, of the total 1540, 976 coronary arthritis patients have recovered and gone home, while 70 have died during treatment, while 494 patients are now undergoing treatment, (UNI)
