Kolhapur, May 30 : Local Crime Branch (LCB) today arrested three including a woman, who cheated total 20 families for RS 3.96 crore with making a horrible casted spell over them by telling Shree Swami Samarth Maharaj and Shri Sai Baba to be possessed in them. In a official press release this evening, LCB inspector Tanaji Savant said that on a tip , LCB police raided a home in Mangalwar peth area and arrested three persons, who identified as Praveen Vijay Phadnvis (44), Ms Savita Anil Ashtekar, both resident in Mangalwar peth, Sridhar Narayan Sahastrabuddhe(55), of Phulewadi.

Mr Savant said that, three suspected were make horrible casted spell over and gained trust of the peoples and later they threatened them that if they would not pay attention on their orders then Swami Samarth and Saibaba would displeasure on them as both were possessed in them (hypocritical men). Three suspected cheated total 20 families with used such tactics and took Rs 3.96 crore, including golden ornaments valued Rs Ten lakh. After a complaint from Shreedhar Nandgaonkar , one of the affected person, LCB took an action against three hypocritical and arrested them. Police booked complaint under IPC section 420, 323, 506,34 and under state Bewitched law-2013 section 2(1), (b),(5),(8). (UNI)
