Kolhapur, May 27 : A 56-year-old man, who had recently returned here from Mumbai, succumbed to Novel Coronavirus on Wednesday, the District Health Department confirmed. On May 17, the Quinquagenarian came back from Mumbai to Channekuppi village of Gadhinglaj tehsil.
Upon return, he was sent to Shende institutional quarantine center. He breathed his last after suffering a heart attack in the morning. Subsequently, his posthumous report confirmed that he was COVID-19 positive. This is the second pandemic death reported in the month of May, while the death of a senior citizen on April 30 was Kolhapur's first COVID-19 fatality. (UNI)
