Two succumb to COVID-19 in Aurangabad, toll reaches 57

Aurangabad, May 26 : Two more old age corona infected persons, including a senior citizen, succumbed to COVID-19 while undergoing treatment at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) here on Tuesday, stated hospital sources. On May 24, a 72-year-old person from Jaibhim Nagar suffering from diabetes and blood pressure was admitted in serious condition in the hospital and was tested positive for coronavirus on the same day.

He later succumbed to the disease in the wee hours of Tuesday. While another 57-year-old person suffering from cancer from Jadhavwadi was admitted on May 18 and was tested as positive on next day also succumbed to the disease at around 0030 hours last night, the sources added. With this the total fatalities toll has reached to 57 in Aurangabad district. (UNI)
