Mumbai, May 22 : The Bombay High Court on Friday adjourned a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking CBI probe into the Palghar lynching case till June 5, citing that a similar matter is pending before the Supreme Court. The Court was hearing a PIL filed by a Delhi lawyer A A Srivastava demanding a CBI or SIT probe under judicial supervision into the brutal killing of three men.
Following a political upheaval over the case, the Maharashtra government has already ordered an inquiry through the CID. More than hundred persons, including juveniles, have been arrested for their alleged involvement into the sensational case. (UNI)
