Pune police help differently-abled couple tie nuptial knot

Agency News

Pune, May 20: As the civilians and police have come more closer during the COVID-19 crisis, the Bibewadi cops here walked a mile further by helping a specially-abled couple to tie nuptial knot on Tuesday. Aurangabad's Saurabh Khemner faced all odds by travelling to this district for marrying Revati Pokale.

Subsequently, Bibewadi senior Inspector Kumar Ghadge and his team made their wedding arrangements at Dutt Mandir. Both the bride and groom were permitted to invite five relatives each from their sides. In a compassionate gesture, Ghadge performed Kanyadan, a traditional ritual, while five cops blessed the newly-wed couple by marking their presence in the 'socially-distanced' ceremony. (UNI)
