Nashik, May 7: Eight new COVID-19 cases were detected here on Thursday, taking this district's pandemic tally to 511 among which 15 persons have died while 33 others have been cured, stated District Civil Hospital. The new cases were found after the reports of 149 individuals were received today.
Out of the eight patients, four are from Malegaon, two from Yeola town while one each from Sinnar tehsil and Nashik city. The steep rise of confirmed cases in rural parts of the district has worried the administration after 55 infected individuals were found in several talukas. Malegaon has become a pressing concern as it has the highest number of cases (417) and fatalities (14) out of total tally. A lone pandemic death was earlier reported from the city. The silver lining in the dark cloud is that out of 33 recoveries, 28 are from Malegaon and rest five in the city area. (UNI)
