40-yr-old man tests positive in Maharashtra’s Sangli

Sangli, Apr 30: A 40-year-old man, a resident of Dudhebhavi village in Kavathe-Mahankal tehsil of this district, tested positive for novel coronavirus disease on Thursday, taking the number of positive corona patients to four in the district.

In the official press release today, district collector Dr Abhijeet Chaudhari said the 40-year-old man came from Mumbai on April 27 and after the preliminary investigations, Dr D R Patil, tehsil medical officer, immediately contacted district health officer Sanjay Salunkhe, who shifted him at Miraj isolation ward, where his swab sample was taken and sent for testing.

The results which came back this evening tested positive for the coronavirus. Chaudhari said that with this patient, the total number of COVID-19 patients reached four in the district. Earlier total 27 people had tested positive of corona, out of which 26 were declared 'corona free and discharged while one positive patient died. (UNI)
