Pune, Apr 20: Maharashtra Environment Minister and Yuva Sena chief Aditya Thackeray has extended help to a six member family from Bihar which was stuck in city ever since the country-wide lockdown came into force and found it tough to survive in such difficult circumstances.
The married couple along with their four minor children (aged between 3 to 9 years), arrived in Pune for first time 8 days prior to the lockdown and they were stuck in Krishna Nagar area of Mohammed Wadi locality. They were sleeping on empty stomach for last two days.
When the family spoke to Aditya on phone and narrated their ordeal, Thackeray Junior called Manisha Dharne, a convener of Pune district of Shiv Sena, and asked her to provide them with all the necessary things for living. Then, she arranged for the supply of foodgrains and other essential materials to the stranded family with help of police. The family has expressed their gratitude to Thackeray Junior, Ms Dharne and police personnel who came to their rescue during the lockdown, a police official said. (UNI)
