Aurangabad Police goes strict against vehicle movement

Aurangabad, Apr 16: Aurangabad City Police Commissioner has issued an order banning movements of all types of vehicles in the city from last midnight to April 30.

According to the official press release, Mr Chiranjeev Prasad stated, "Acting in view of the coronavirus threat, all the private vehicles including cars, jeeps, heavy and medium transport vehicles, autorickshaws, taxies and motorcycles and bicycle will not be allowed on roads even in small lanes."

Strict action will be initiated against those who will violate the order, the release added. Prohibitory orders under Section 144 barring an assembly of more than four people is already in force in the district.

At present, 20 coronavirus positive patients are under treatment in the government hospitals across the district with two deaths and three cured patients. (UNI)
