2 more Covid-19 deaths in Dharavi, toll rises to 7

Dharavi recorded six new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus, including two deaths, as the highly contagious Covid19 spreads rapidly in Mumbai’s biggest slum.

A 52-year-old man from Kalyanwadi died of complications related to Covid-19 on April 11, said Kiran Dighavkar, assistant commissioner in charge of the G/North Ward in Central Mumbai. In the second case, another 52-year-old man from Muslim Nagar died due to the virus, he said. Among the latest to test positive for Covid-19 include a man (55) and a woman (19) in Janta Society; a woman (43) in Rajiv Nagar; and a man (27) in Muslim Nagar.
