COVID-19: Toll reaches 20 in Pune, total positive cases 204

Pune, Apr 9 : The number of deaths due to Novel Coronavirus reached 20 in the city on Thursday, while total positive cases passed the 200 mark.

There are 22 positive cases from PCMC areas, while 14 are in Pune rural areas. Out of 20 dead, one is from Baramati, while 19 are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) areas, Pune Mayor Murlidhar Mohol said here.

According to the Maharashtra Health department, 162 new COVID-19 positive cases were reported in Maharashtra on Thursday, taking the total number of positive cases in the state to 1297.

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, across the country, there is an increase of 540 new COVID-19 cases and 17 deaths in the last 24 hours. India's total number of Coronavirus positive cases has increased to 5734 (including 5095 active cases, 473 cured, discharged and 166 deaths). (UNI)
