Covid-19: Muslim Numanidaa Council demands free food for poor

Aurangabad, Mar 27: City-based Muslim Numanidaa Council, a federal apex body of Muslims organisations, on Friday demanded distribution of free food and groceries to citizens who does not have ration cards in the wake of 21-day lockdown.

The council has sent a request to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray demanding food to all such people through ration shops card for their livelihood. The statement is signed by Council President Ziauddin Siddiqui, Secretary Mehraj Siddiqui, Abdul Mannan Khan, Muntazibuddin Shaikh.

The statement further demanded that the house tax,water tax ,GST and Income Tax should be waived.

Those who have borrowed loan for home and business should be given a one-year extension to pay off their dues.

Banned gutkha sales should be strictly banned, it added. (UNI)
