Pune, Mar 19 : Thunderstorm, accompanied with lightning, hail and gusty winds (with speed of up to 30-40 km per hour), is very likely to occur at isolated places over south Bihar, Jharkhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh during next 24 hours, forecast the India Meteorological Department on Friday.
It further said that thunderstorm, accompanied with lightning and gusty winds (with speed of up to 30-40 kmph), is likely at isolated slices over Gangetic West Bengal, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam during the period.
Day temperatures were markedly above normal in some parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Saurashtra and Kutch. They were appreciably above par in some sectors of Assam, Meghalaya and Himachal Pradesh. They were above norm in some locations of Arunachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan, Konkan, Goa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu, coastal & south interior Karnataka and Kerala as well in remaining sites of Assam, Meghalaya, Saurashtra and Kutch.(UNI)
