Mumbai, Mar 18 : The Maharashtra Power Department on Wednesday said that it has not submitted any proposal for providing cost-free supply up to 100 units.
The Department said this, in reply to an RTI query of activist Anil Galgali, who had sought to know about the status of the proposal and whether it has got the Cabinet's nod. On February 7, Power Minister Nitin Raut had said that the government is mulling upon the idea.
A committee has been formed to study the viability of the proposal, he had added. The Power Department sent a letter to the activist, stating that no such proposal has been submitted. (UNI)
