Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Mar 15 : A 59-year-old woman, who had travelled to Russia and Kazakhstan in Central Asia and being quarantined at a private hospital in Aurangabad city, tested positive for novel coronavirus on Sunday, becoming the first such case in Marathwada region of the state.
With this, the number of COVID-19 positive cases in the state has gone up to 32, official sources said. The woman, who had been to Russia and Kazakhstan recently, was admitted to isolation ward of the private hospital here after showed symptoms of the virus.
Her swab sample had been sent to government laboratory in Pune and the result of which received here on Sunday confirmed that she has been infected with the virus, the sources added. More than 100 persons are tested positive with the virus across the country. Off these, 10 were discharged after they were recovered. (UNI)
