Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Feb 21: Unidentified people on Friday allegedly pelted stones on the house of senior BJP leader and state vice-president Dr Bhagwat Karad at Konala Colony area of the city.

According to preliminary information, a group of about eight to 10 people with their faces covered reached the house of Dr Karad late in the evening at around 8pm and hurled stones at his house before fleeing from the spot.

In this incident, the window panes of his house were damaged, however Dr Karad was not hurt, as he was in his office at that time.

After being informed about the incident, a delegation of BJP leaders, comprising Dr Karad, MLA Atul Save, Pravin Ghuge, Ram Bhudwant and Anil Makriye among others, met City Police Commissioner Chiranjeev Prasad and apprised him about the attack.

Mr Prasad assured the delegation that police will arrest the culprits, who were involved in it and asked them to lodge a complaint with the Kranthi Chowk police station.

Accordingly, the delegation reached the concerned police station and lodged a complaint against unidentified people, said sources in the party.
