Aurangabad (Maharashtra), Feb 22 : In an attempt to slingshot itself from state to national level, Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) has launched an ambitious drive to apprise people of the developments done in the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
Addressing mediapersons at party office here on Saturday, Maharashtra AAP president Ranga Rachure said, "After the impressive win in recent Delhi assembly election, AAP will launch model development drive across Maharashtra as well as rest of the states in the country." "The people of Delhi endorsed Arvind Kejriwal's model developmental works by giving him thumping majority in election," he cheered.
He further said, "The people of Maharashtra are fed up of politics in the name of caste and religion." He appealed the people to participate in the drive which will continue till March 23. "Those who want to participate in this drive, they should give missed call on 9871010101," he said. Post the missed call, the person will receive a link asking for relevant personal details, and subsequently AAP team will connect with the individual. "Through this drive, people will come to know the details about developmental works done by the AAP in Delhi," he asserted.
"Within 24 hours of the drive being launched, 11 lakh missed calls have been received," he told, adding that this shows the people are supporting the drive. Referring to the meet of Maharashtra Education Minister Uday Samant with his Delhi counterpart Manish Sisodia, he substantiated that the Maha Vikas Aghadi government is keen to mirror the AAP works in academic and other sectors. "AAP will contest on all 115 wards as well as Mayoral election in upcoming civic body polls here," he informed. (UNI)
