Mumbai, Feb 8: Maha Vikas Aghadi government is mulling to provide 100 units of power cost-free to the residential consumers, report said here on Saturday.
In this regard, State Power Minister Nitin Raut has directed the department to prepare a report on the viability of this scheme. If implemented, this scheme will only be applicable to those consumers whose power consumption is up to 100 units.
The move is seen to be inspired from the Aam Aadmi Party government which provides 200 units of power free to domestic consumers in the National Capital Territory of Delhi. (UNI)
