Pune, Feb 1 : Fresh spell of snowfall witnessed in uphills while plains continued to reel under the cold weather conditions with the lowest recorded in Haryana's Hisar at 2.8 degrees C. Night temperatures were above normal in some parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Telangana and Kerala. Night temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka.

Night temperatures were above normal in remaining parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka. Night temperatures were below normal in some parts of Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, east Rajasthan, Konkan and Goa, madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha and north interior Karnataka.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of Saurashtra and Kutch, Madhya Pradesh,Odisha, Bihar, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, and were markedly below normal in remaining parts of Madhya Pradesh. Night temperatures were below normal in remaining parts of Odisha, Bihar, and Saurashtra and Kutch. The lowest minimum temperature of 2.8 degress Celsius was recorded at Hisar in Haryana.

Dense to very dense fog very likely at isolated places over Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, SubHimalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, and Odisha. Thunderstorm very likely at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Odisha, and coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam. Cold day as well as cold wave conditions very likely in isolated pockets over Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab. Ground frost condition very likely in isolated pockets over Haryana and Punjab.

At 0830 hours Saturday, 25 meter visibility was recorded at Patiala, Ludhiana, Ambala, Chandigarh and Karnal whereas 50 meter visibility observed at Bhiwani, Hissar, Pantnagar and Haflong. The places of Amritsar, Tadong, Baghdogra and Pet Jorhat had 200 meter visibility. Dense to very dense fog was observed at a few pockets over Punjab, Assam, Meghalaya, Haryana, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh whereas moderate fog was observed in isolated parts over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Maniupr, Mizoram, Tripura Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and coastal Andhra Pradesh. Mainly dry weather prevailed in Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala.
