Naidu worries about benami land purchases: Whip

Agency News

Amaravati, Jan 18 : YSRCP MLA and government Chief Whip G Srikanth Reddy on Saturday alleged that former Chief Minister and TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu was worrying about the lands which he purchased on binami names in the capital region area.

He said Naidu had created an illusion on construction of world class capital city and deceived farmers of the capital city region.

He asked the agitating farmers to question Naidu for not developing the region in the past five years of his regime. In fear of sub-committee report which is exposing 4,070 acres of ‘insider trading’ in the capital city region, Mr. Naidu is provoking the agitating farmers to intensify the protests. Instead of apologizing to the farmers for betraying them, Naidu is using the farmers in the protests. “Naidu had never worried about farmers but for his Benami properties”,’ he lashed out.

“The capital city is not being shifted from Amaravati, but the administration capital is being decentralized based on the Sivaramakrishnan committee, GN Rao committee, and BCG reports the administration”, he made it clear. The Chief Whip alleged that Naidu is using a section of media to incite the agitating farmers.

"Naidu is playing a drama in the name of protest and no one has benefitted by his pseudo protests," he added. Reddy dared Naidu to come for elections after the resignation of 23 TDP MLAs. Naidu was the one who should be punished for his irregularities but people are suffering from these mistakes. There would be no viability for the capital city that consumes Rs 1,10,000 crore. (UNI)
