Misinformation being spread, Fadanvis on CAA aftermath

Agency News

Aurangabad, Jan 11: Former Maharashtra chief minister and current opposition leader Devendra Fadanvis on Saturday alleged that some people across the country are spreading misinformation through social media in the name of Citizenship Amendment Act.

Mr Fadanvis was here in city for the first time after becoming opposition leader of state assembly to inaugurate two two-days 'Deogiri Vanwasi Kalyan Mahasammelan' organised here at Agrasen Bhavan at Cidco locality tonight.

In a veiled attack on left parties, Mr Fadanvis said that confusion is being created in the name of CAA that they will ask proof of your stay in the country.

Fadnavis further said that if you want to stop people who are tearing apart and trying to break into the country, the history of Tandya Bhil and Birsa Munda should reach the last man in the country.

In the past, the tribal and indigenous communities of the country were progressive, their cultures were in harmony with this nature. Tribal and non-resident communities have conserved water, land and forests for the environmental protection work that is going on in the world today. he said.

He also said that tribal society played an important role in India's independence struggle, but the British government gave them the image of a robber community.(UNI)
