It is learnt that Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress government in Maharashtra has almost lfinalised the portfolios to the newly sworn in cabinet ministers.
NCP leader and Deputy CM Ajit Pawar could get Finance and Planning, while Uddhav’s son Aaditya Thackeray may be given Environment and Tourism. The surprise in the packet would be NCP MLA Anil Deshmush who is the frontrunner for the Home Ministry.
Urban development will go to Shiv Sena's Eknath Shinde, Industries to Sena's Subhash Desai, Revenue to Congress's Balasaheb Thorat, Labour and Excise to NCP's Dilip Walse Patil, Housing to NCP's Jeetendra Ahwad and Medical Education to Congress's Varsha Gaikwad.
Nawab Malik could be chosen for Minority affairs, while Jayant Patil likely to get Irrigation.
