To break the deadlock of the government formation in Maharashtra, BJP leader Nitin Gakari is expected to have a meeting with Uddhav Thackeray at Matoshree on Friday.
Earlier, on Thursday night, Nitin Gakari had met and discussed with RSS leader Mohan Bhagwat in Nagpur. It was learnt that the meeting of both were centered around Maharashtra where the government formation hit a deadlock after Shiv Sena claimed rotational chief-ministerial post. Soon after the meeting, Nitin Gadkari has flown straightaway to Mumbai.
Now, Gadkari's next mission of meeting with Uddhav Thackeray at Matoshree is said to find a solution to the 16-day long deadlock over government formation in Maharashtra. Sources in the know of things say that Nitin Gakari's visit is strictly to share a peace-formula with Uddhav Thackeray evolved from the meeting with Mohan Bhagwat.
The Sena has been adamant on what it calls a "50:50 formula" it says was discussed with the BJP for rotational chief ministership and equal distribution of ministries. The BJP has rejected any talk of Devendra Fadnavis, its Chief Minister, sharing the post with the Sena.
On the BJP's view that the chief minister's post does not come under equal seat sharing clause.
