Five pilgrims killed in Mah road accident

Belagavi, Nov 8: Five pilgrims from Mandoli village in Belagavi taluk, who were on their way to Pandharpur to pay obeisance to Vithal and Rukmini, were killed on the spot when their SUV in rammed LPa brick-transporting tractor-trolley near Sangola town in Solapur district in Maharashtra early Friday.

Police said the deceased were identified as Krishna Vaman Goankar (50), Mahadev Kanbarkar (48), Balu Ambewadikar (50), Arun Datta Mutkekar (38) of Mandoli village and driver Aadha Devappa Patil (40) of Hangarga village.

Belagavi rural MLA Smt Laxmi Hebbalkar heard the news and immediately contacted to Solapur (Maharashtra) MLA Praneethi Shunde extend his help to deceased family member and injured persons. (UNI)
