Agency News

Nanded, Oct 26 : The flooded water of the Godavari river crossed danger limit of 351 metre on Saturday.

The water in the river has reached 353 meter mark. The danger level is at 351 meter mark. The water released from the Jayakwadi and Digras dams in the river resulted in intensifying the flood situation. To avoid probable damage to the Vishnupuri dam its nine gates have been opened on Saturday. Sant Dasganu bridge at Nava Ghat has been closed for traffic.

However, the closure was causing hardship to the people as it reduces the distance between Cidco and the main city.

The deputy Collector Sachin Khalla has issued a notice to the people living adjoining to not to go into the water and take shelter at a secure place. (UNI)
