Aurangabad (Maharashtra) ,Oct 25, 2019 : As may as ten Muslim MLAs won from different political parties in the state assembly, whose results were declared on Thursday.
In 2014 assembly election, the Hyderabad based AIMIM entered the state by winning two seats from Aurangabad Central and Buyculla in Mumbai.
But, this time they lost both the seats, but made an entry in Dhule-City constituency and Malegaon constituency, where Dr Farooq Shah and Mufti Mohmmad Ismail Qasmi were elected respectively.
Former Congress MLA from Sillod constituency in Aurangabad Abdul Sattar, who joined Shiv Sena recently elected from the same constituency on Shiv Sena ticket.
Senior leader of Samajwadi Party, Abu Asim Azmi retained his seat of Shivaji Nagar - Mankhurd while in Bhiwandi (East) constituency Raees Kasam Sheikh of SP also got elected .
In Mumbai, three congress candidates include Mr Amin Patel from Mumbadevi, Zeeshan Baba Siddiqui from Bandra East, and Aslam Sheikh from Malad West constituency who won the election.
NCP spokesperson, Nawab Malik won from Atomic Energy constituency in Chembur. Senior leader of NCP, Hasan Mushriff elected from Kagal constituency in Kolhapur district .(UNI)
