Agency News

Aurangabad , Oct 18 : A Model Code of Conduct (MCC) violation case was registered against the Shiv Swaraj Bhahujan Party chief and former Shiv Sena MLA Harshwardhan Jadhav on Thursday night, after his objectionable speech in his poll campaign rally against Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray.

Mr Jadhav is contesting the election as independent candidate from Kannad constituency where he made objectionable statement against Mr Thackeray over the issue of inducting Abdul Sattar in fold of Shiv Sena on Tuesday last.

The video clip went viral on social media and Shiv Sainiks condemned his statement strongly at various places in the district and lodged a complaint against him at different police stations.

Yesterday, some unidentified persons vandalised his residence by pelting stones and damaged a car and some window panes, when he was not present in his house.
Mr Jadahv accused Sena workers of attacking his residence.

Refuting the allegations, Shiv Sena district chief and MLC Ambadas Danve said, ''Mr Jadhav has a habit of 'stuntbazi'.''(UNI)
