70 year-old mistake solved within 70 hours: Ram Madhav on Kashmir

Aurangabad,Maharashtra,Oct 1: Bhartiya Janta Party General Secretary Ram Madhav has asserted that Article 370, which was a 70 year-old mistake, was solved within 70 hours in a constitutional way by the present Central government led by Narendra Modi.
Mr Madhav said, 'we never thought of scrapping Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir but it was possible due to the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi', he said while interacting with people of different walks of life here at the National Unity Campaign '(Rashtriya Ekta Abhiyan),' in the wake of abrogation of Articles 370 and 35 A from Jammu and Kashmir, on Monday.

He refuted charges of opposition that the abrogation of Article 370 was unconstitutional and alleged that it was included in constitution in an unconstitutional way by late Prime Minister Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru. Mr Madhav stated that it was temporary.

Due to abrogation of Article 370, the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribe community, who were deprived of their rights since last 70 years, could now avail them and people from other states were also eligible to buy property in Jammu and Kashmir, he added.

Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Haribhau Bagade, Minister of State for Industry Atul Save , Mining, Wakf board, Minority Welfare and President of BJP Mahila Morcha and Women Commission Chief of Maharashtra Vijayatai Rahatkar, Shirish Boralkar, Dr Bhagwat Karad, Sanjay Kenekar, Basavraj Mangrul, Ram Bhudwant among others were present on the occasion.
