Predicting the political future of the recently resigned MLA and NCP leader Ajit Pawar, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Kakade on Saturday claimed that Ajit Pawar will form another political party if the ‘’rift with NCP chief and uncle Sharad Pawar continues".
Sanjay Kakade’s statement came a day after Sharad Pawar said that his nephew Ajit Pawar told his family of his decision of "quitting politics and getting into farming or any other business" instead.
Sanjay Kakade asserted that Ajit Pawar is not a kind of leader who will retire from politics or venture into any other business or agriculture. Earlier, Sharad Pawar said :"Ajit informed his son of his desire to leave politics and get into farming or any other business. This is the discussion that Ajit Pawar had with his family members and this was informed to me by his son".
Pointing out another option, Sanjay Kakade said, "If Ajit Pawar does not get what he intends to then he will definitely form another party or will have an alliance with some political party and contest state elections."
Kakade further said that if Ajit Pawar walks away from the NCP, Sharad Pawar's party would be reduced to half the seats in the Maharashtra assembly elections.
