Nanded, Sep 14: Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Airport resumed it's air services on Saturday, after the flight operations were hampered, as a charter plane got stuck at the runway.
The incident took place on Thursday midnight, when the charter plane, ferrying donated body organs, skidded off the runway. The cause of the plane's unexpected manoeuvre was attributed to heavy rains, which led to waterlogging at the spot. Post the incident, the plane's crew, including the pilot, were rescued by the security personnel, while the aircraft was removed on Friday, with the help of a crane.
"Air services from Nanded to various destinations, including Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chandigarh and Delhi, resumed today," Terminal Manager Amardeep Singh said here. (UNI)
