Panchaganga river flowing above warning level

Kolhapur, Sep 10 : Water level of main Panchanganga river at Rajaram Bandhara (weir) touched 40 feet at 0800 hrs on Tuesday morning, above the warning level of 39 feet.
After crossing warning level at Rajaram Bandhara on Sunday evening, it touched 39.11 feet on Monday, authorities said.

The district administration has evacuated 878 people and 450 domestic animals from Chikhali, Ambewadi in Karveer tehsil and Gothanpur, Khidrapur, Rajapur and Rajapurwadi in Shirol tehsil.

Total 54 bandharas situated on various rivers in the district, were submerged. (UNI)
