Aurangabad, Aug 18: Vanchit Bahujan Agadhi (VBA) chief Adv Prakash Ambedkar has expressed confidence on winning the upcoming assembly elections in Maharashtra if all minorities come together with them.
While addressing to gathering here on Saturday night on the occasion of party joining ceremony by numbers of minority leaders at Tapdiya Natya mandir Mr Ambedkar said that Congress is not able to give fight to the coalition partners Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP)-Shiv Sena (SS) in the state while VBA is emerging as a strong secular force which can wrest power from BJP.
Hailing people of Aurangabad for electing AIMIM candidate Imitiaz Jaleel in the recent Lok Sabha elections, he said that people over here have shown unity by defeating four time SS MP Chandrakant Khaire.
He alleged that the BJP government in the centre used to threaten of sending their opponents to jail. "They cannot send me to jail', he said adding that he has nothing to fear.
He also said that Congress is no longer in the picture to defeat anyone so people should not waste their vote. (UNI)
