After NCP rout, Pawar now looks into party affairs

Thane, May 29: NCP Chief Sharad Pawar has decided to personally look into the party affairs in Thane district with a view to get good results in the forthcoming Assembly polls.

Pawar on Tuesday held discussions with a group of local leaders from Thane in Mumbai and gave indication about this. The NCP Chief is concerned about the dismal performance of the party in the recent Lok Sabha elections and wants to put the house in order and is likely to take certain firm measures in the coming weeks.

A meeting of the party leaders has been convened on June 1 in Mumbai where the entire issue will be deliberated and action plan decided.
