Nanded, Apr 13: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on
Saturday launched a vitriolic attack on Congress leaders like the
party's candidate for Nanded Lok Sabha seat Ashok Chavan, Rahul
Gandhi and P Chidambaram as well as MNS chief Raj Thackeray.
Addressing a public meet for the party's nominee Pratap Patil-
Chikhalikar at Bhokar, he took a potshot at the Maharashtra
Navnirman Sena president and said that Mr Chavan who was once fierce
opponent of Mr Thackeray is now using him for his own benefit.
Criticising Mr Chavan, Mr Fadnavis claimed that the former chief
minister had signed an agreement to give water from Maharashtra to
Gujarat but the same was cancelled by the ruling BJP state
government, he said.
He also criticised Rahul Gandhi and P Chidambaram for demanding
proof of recent air strike on terrorist camps at Balakot in Pakistan
-occupied Kashmir saying they were speaking like that of the western
He listed out the various works of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and
said that the people-centric schemes like Jan Dhan Yojana, grants to
farmers, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Ujjwala, Pradhan Mantri Aavas
Yojana, Shramev Jayate, Jan Arogya Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Sadak
Yojana among others.
Mr Fadnavis expressed confidence that the BJP will again come to
power in the state and at the Centre.
