Sangli, Maharashtra, Apr 11: Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has claimed that he has not allied with Bhartiya Janata party (BJP) to hide any wrongdoing but only for the welfare of farmers.
Addressing an election campaign in Islampur tehsil town of this district for Shiv Sena candidate Dharysheel Mane, from Hatkanangale Lok Sabha constituency in Kolhapur district (Islampur assembly constituency is one of the segments of Hatkanangale Lok Sabha constituency) , Mr Thackeray said that he had requested country's prime minister that on backdrop of likely sever draught situation in future in the state to accompany with farmers of the state as like then home minister Sardar Vallabhai Patel, who had stand firmly behind Vidarbha peoples in Nizamshahi regime.
Mr Thackeray said that even our sever differences with BJP in last four years , he was not interfere in good works of BJP lead state government. He also expressed satisfaction on government's farmers loan waive decision as he wanted to get benefit of the loan waive to all farmers. He said that he was not a farmer's leader but definitely he was a friend of farmers and he has knowledge what to do for farmers as he know feelings of farmers. He reminded the peoples that Shiv Sena was the first party who agitated for farmers before twelve to fifteen years back. He insisted with state revenue minister Chandrakant Patil, who was present on the dias, that the government should remove burdensome conditions in loan waiver and should extend scope of crops insurance schemes.
