Nagpur, Apr 11: Nearly 55 to 56 per cent of total electorate cast their votes in the first phase of Lok Sabha elections in seven seats of Vidarbha region in Maharashtra on Thursday under tight security. According to election official, 55 to 56 per cent of total electorate cast their votes in Vidargha region of Eastern Maharashtra.Of them, 53.13 per cent and 51.72 per cent cast their votes in Nagpur and Ramtek constituencies, respectively.
In Wardha, 55.36 per cent voting was registered, the official said. While in remaining four constituencies, around 60.50 per cent was recorded in Bhandara-Gondia, Gadchiroli-Chimur (61.33 per cent), Yavatmal-Washim (53.78 per cent) and Chandrapur (55.97 per cent), it was informed. (UNI)
