Aurangabad, Mar 28: Aurangabad Congress District president, Abdul Sattar, on Thursday removed all the chairs, which he had donated to the party office, to register his protest at denial of the party ticket for the upcoming four-phased Lok Sabha polls in Maharashtra.
Mr Sattar emptied the Gandhi Bhavan here after taking out all the chairs, which he averred were donated by him.
Indian National Congress leader and National Joint Coordinator of All India Kisan Congress Mohammad, Hisham Osmani, brought chairs from his office to fill the room.
Mr Osmani told UNI, ''It’s election time and the party office cannot remain empty, so I took the initiative.'' (UNI)
