Aurangabad, Mar 24: A triangular fights will be seen in Marathwada region for eight seats in 17th Loksabha election this time as the polls will be held on April 18 and 23.

A BJP-Shiv Sena alliance, Congress-NCP Mahaaghadi and Vanchit Bahujan Agadhi led by Prakash Ambedkar have fielded their canidates across the region.

In Aurangabad Lok Sabha constituency, four time MP Chandrakant Khaire (Shiv Sena) is trying his luck for the fifth time against Congress nominee and MLC from local bodies Subhash Zambad.

While, Vanchit Bahujan Agadhi (VBA) or its ally AIMIM is yet to announce their candidate.

In Jalna, Raosaheb Danve, four time MP and state BJP president will fight against Congress nominee and Maharashtra state Congress Seva Dal president Vilas Autade, who lost 2014 election against Mr Danve. Dr Sharadchandra Wankhede has been fielded by VBA.

Dr Pritam Munde who won by-election of Beed constituency by huge margin against congress nominee Ashok Patil after her father Gopinath Munde death in 2014 again contesting election against Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Bajrang Sonawane while Dr Vishnu Jadhav contesting on VBA ticket.

Sitting Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Jadhav from Parbhani constituency again trying his luck second time against NCP's Rajesh Vitekar. Mr Jadhav defeated NCP's Vijay Bambale in 2014 election by 1.27 lakhs votes. Mr Alamgir Khan is trying his luck on behalf of VBA.

In Osmanabad Lok Sabha constituency, a fight will be seen between two arch rival cousins. Shiv Sena has given a new face as former Sena MLA Om Raje Nimbalkar against his cousin brother Rana Jajitsinh present NCP MLA from Osmanabad assembly constituency. As the Shiv Sena denied a ticket to sitting MP Prof Ravi Gaikwad who defeated Rana's father and senior NCP leader Padmasinh Patil who is also a close relative of Sharad Pawar. Mr Padmasinh is alledged accused in Pawanraje Nimbalkar father of Om Raje Nimbalkar murder case. However, Arjun Salgar is VBA's nominee.

In Latur (SC) constituency presently holding by BJP MP Sunil Gaikwad also denied a ticket and given a new face ZP member Sudhakar Shringare who will take to Congress Machindra Kamat new comer in congress party. Both the candidates are businessman. Ram Garekar is contesting on VBA ticket.

MPCC president and sitting MP of Nanded lok sabha Ashok Chavan again pitted against BJP nominee present Shiv Sena Mla Pratap Patil-Chiklikar from Loha-Khandar assembly constituency who was working for BJP since last two years. Prof Yash pal Bhinge is going to contest on VBA ticket.

In Hingoli constituency, the congress party is yet to announce their candidate as Rajiv Satav, the sitting MP showed his inablility to contest the election. He won last 2014 election by thin margin of 1600 votes against Sena nominee Subhash Wankhede. This time Shiv Sena has fielded sitting Sena Mla Hemant Patil and VBA announced Mohan Rathod as their nominee.

The polling in Beed, Jalna, Osmanabad, Nanded, Parbhani and Latur constituencies to be held on April 18 while Aurangabad and Jalna will go poll on April 23.

Filling of nominations papers is already began, but most of the political parties are likely to file their papers on March 25 onwards.

BJP-SS and Congress-NCP have forged pre-poll alliance for Lok Sabha election.

In 2014 Lok sabha election, the BJP-SS won 6 while Congress bagged 2. NCP failed to open its account in Marathwada.

UNI
