NCP unhappy over Aurangabad Lok sabha seat

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Mar 24 : Marathwada constituency NCP MLC Satish Chavan said though the Congress lost four times in Lok Sabha polls in a row from Aurangabad constituency, once again they have fielded their candidate, but NCP should pitch in this time.

Addressing a press conference here on Sunday , Mr Chavan said , in view of congress party continuous defeats in this constituency, NCP sought Congress's hand to allow Aurangabad lok sabha seat to NCP this time to defeat four time Shiv Sena MP Chandrakant Khaire who is contesting fifth time and talks also has been held in this regard.

He further said," our party chief, Sharad Pawar also hinted that I will be the right candidate if seat goes to NCP.However, our ally congress party did not budge."

"As per our alliance with congress party our responsibility is to help their candidate Subhash Zambad win in election and we will ensure that," he said.

When he was asked whether he was going to contest Lok Sabha election, he said," until I get party AB form I will not file my nomination but anything can happen at the last moment."

The party district president Kailash Patil and City chief Kashinath Kokate among other party office bearers were present at the meet.UNI
