Thane, Mar 21 : Another police case pertaining to the SSC examination papers leak was registered on Wednesday at the Narpoli Police Station in the Bhiwandi town of this district,informed the police on Thursday.
This is the second time when the case of papers leak have been reported from the Bhiwandi town.
Prior to this,the exam board officials got the subsequent information on March 11,13,15,and 18 that the question papers set for the subjects of Algebra,Geometry,Science I,and Science II have been leaked and were being distributed over e-mails and WhatsApp.
In the present instance,the question papers set for the subjects of History and Political Science,the exams of which were scheduled on March 20,have been leaked.
The incident came into light when five girl students were found sitting outside the examination centre premises and were engrossed in their mobile phones,said police.
Upon checking the mobile phones,it was found that they were going through the question papers for the exam,which was going to be held in sometime, mentioned police.
In both instances of the papers leak reported from the Bhiwandi town,the police has registered a case under the IPC section 406 (criminal breach of trust) and other relevant charges of the Information Technology Act,stated police.
Further investigation is underway to nab the racket behind the papers leak and no arrest has been so far in both the cases,added police.
