Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Mar 17: The signs of cracks which came to the fore in the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance owing to the political feud between the BJP Maharashtra President Raosaheb Danve and Shiv Sena's Arjun Khotkar were cemented at a meeting between Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Uddhav Thackeray here on Sunday.
In the Joint Marathwada Divisional Convention held at the Srihari Pavilion here on Sunday,an annoucement was made declaring the end of bitter relations between Arjun Khotkar and Raosaheb Danve.
Mr Khotkar, currently the Minister of State in the CM Fadnavis government, resolved before the gathering that he will abide by the party guidelines and stick to his image of a true Shiv Sainik.
He stated that he will work in the direction of making the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance electorally successful in the 17th Lok Sabha polls.
On the other hand,Mr Danve reciprocated by saying that there was no personal enmity between two of them and the bond of the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance is strong.
In the recent days, the fight between the two leaders came to a head when it was speculated that Mr Khotkar will enter the electoral fray against BJP's Danve.
Several reports suggested that even Mr Khotkar was approached by the Congress to make him switch political allegiance. (UNI)
