Mumbai, Mar 13 : The BJP-Shiv Sena coalition will kick off its Lok Sabha election campaign from Kolhapur district in Maharashtra on March 24, a BJP leader said here on Wednesday.
The decision about the electoral campaigning was taken in a meeting held on Tuesday night at the residence of Uddhav Thackeray, said the BJP leader.
The BJP leader further said "In the meeting, the BJP-Shiv Sena leaders strategized the campaign tactics which will prove fruitful in the polls,and accordingly it was agreed that the state-level leaders will launch the election campaign from Kolhapur on March 24."
"According to the strategy,the BJP-Shiv Sena leaders hailing from the regions of Vidarbha, Marathwada,Mumbai,and north Maharashtra,will hold marathon meetings in their bastions,before the
first rally of this polls season is held," added the BJP leader.
The BJP and Shiv Sena have forged alliance to contest Lok Sabha polls on the ratio of 25:23 seats respectively. (UNI)
