Hardcore Maoist surrenders in Aurangabad

Aurangabad, Mar 2: A hardcore cadre of proscribed CPI (Maoist), Krishna Pal, today surrendered before the police in the district.

Police Superintendent Deepak Burnval said Krishna surrendered in front the police and pledged to shun violence and join society mainstream. Krishna had been wanted since long in connection with several disruptive activities engineered by CPI (Maoist) but despite raids conducted by CRPF and local police, he managed to evade his arrest, he added.

"Krishna is a native of Bairiya village under Mali police station area in Aurangabad district," said the Police Superintendent and added that more Naxalites were expected to surrender in days ahead. (UNI )
